Faduma Bulale is an author, cultural worker, content creator, and storyteller. Born in Somalia and raised in Seattle, Faduma developed a love for reading at a very young age. As a multilingual, Somali American parent raising and homeschooling bilingual children, Faduma is passionate about promoting child literacy and retaining family traditions and language. She believes that children's books are the perfect tool to help achieve these goals. Faduma has worked with the King County Library System to design, organize, and facilitate Somali storytime, Somali play and learn weekly programming. Faduma has also created videos and materials to increase the visibility of the Somali language and culture across the region and Washington state. In her spare time, she enjoysspending time with her family
